UFOLOGISTS: HOW CONVINCING ARE THEY?

Carol: Some are extremely important...I am not talking here about UFOs , I am talking about what they have accomplished in other areas...totally unrelated to ufology, so you will understand that these people are winners and achievers. Many of them are highly respected college professors, producers, playwrights,  scientists, astronomers, astrophysicists, academicians, bestselling authors, lawyers, physicians, futurists like Stan Friedman,  Dr. Richard Boylan, Dr. Michael Salla, Dr. Zecharia Sitchin, Dr. David Jacobs,  Paul Davids,  Dr. David Adair, Nick Pope, Patrick Huyghe, Dr. Allen Hynek, Dr. Steven Greer, Dr. Billy Birnes, Colin Bennett, Dr. Robert Leir,  Jerry Cohen, Montalk (Tom)...I mean these people are accomplished professionals. Q: And all of them believe in UFOs? Carol: Yes, they do. Q: And they are in the encyclopedia? Carol: Yes, they are. Q: Did you miss any? Carol: Honestly? Yes! But, volume two will include more names, and the Yearbook will contain additional names. We are working on it. Q: How big is this encyclopedia? Carol: Almost 1,900 pages counting the two volumes and the Yearbook. Q: Were they cooperative? Carol: The majority...yes. Q: And the others? Carol: Well, some replied after the deadlines...it was too late to add their names, this is why we have the Yearbook. Q: You said the encyclopedia tells a lot about the persona and character of ufologists. From your contacts with them, what did you sense? What you could tell about them? Are they eccentric, bizarre, serious...good people? Carol: I see...you have tendency to believe that ufologists are sort of weirdoes, right? Well, you are wrong...Q: wait, wait a second, I did not say this....Carol: But you hinted...Q: No, no,  I did not. It was a simple question because many of us do not take UFOs seriously. I do not deny that some other life forms exist somewhere in the galaxy, I am just saying that people make mistakes in seeing or reporting something they saw...that's all. Carol: Anyway...read carefully the encyclopedia. You will see...some of the ufologists are among the brightest men of our modern times. Q: No problem...that's fine. Carol, tell me more about Lafayette. How well do you know him? Let me finish please, I know he is a genius and prolific, but what I am interested in is Lafayette the man not the celebrity and UFOs stuff writer...Carol: Why you keep on repeating UFOs stuff? This is NOT stuff...this is a very serious field that deserves global attention. Lafayette predicts that soon or later, ufology will be taught in schools. Q: Really? Carol: You bet your gazebo!. Let's go back to your question, you know a man from his deeds, from what he writes about and from his way of thinking...and above all from what he believes in. How could anyone not respect and admire a man who said "The generosity of your heart is your one way ticket to immortality...Be always generous with and toward everybody and particularly with those who cannot return the favor...Every time you give from your heart, you grow one inch taller...Fight loudly, give and forgive silently...Make your country a country of milk powder not gun powder...The most beautiful sight to my eyes is the smile of the woman I love.” This is what Maximillien de Lafayette said! Carol: Colleges, campuses libraries, public libraries, reference centers, the media, entertainment industry, scientists, the general public, you name it. I went back to read more about the big names in ufology  mentioned by Carol Lexter in the Biographical Encyclopedia of People in Ufology and Scientific Extraterrestrial Research. I have to admit some ufologists are bona fide celebrities and highly admired in the scientific community despite their claims. The effect and impact of Lafayette's encyclopedia on cosmopolitan readers are already felt. Due to the fact, that this encyclopedia is not an UFO soap opera or a fictional story about abductees, its importance as a biographical reference will be recognized and honored by learned societies, libraries and innovative thinkers. It is a fact, the encyclopedia enhances the credibility of ufologists no matter what they believe in or fantasize about.
